Services (Alberta)
Non‑lawyer information and administrative support. You make the decisions and send your own filings. I am not part of the Alberta Human Rights Commission.
Fit Check — $45 / 30 minutes
A short, no‑pressure call to confirm I’m the right kind of help and that your situation fits non‑lawyer support. If you proceed with support, the $45 is credited toward your first booked time.
No legal advice. You can reschedule if needed.
How I help (behind‑the‑scenes)
- Process information: explain AHRC stages, timelines, and the typical documents in plain language using public materials.
- Timeline & facts: build a clear chronology from your notes and evidence.
- Document preparation: type/format forms and letters from your words; label and paginate exhibits; export to PDF.
- Conciliation preparation (non‑rep): walk through what to expect and practise how you want to present your story.
- Organization: simple trackers for tasks, deadlines, and communication.
- Referrals: when legal advice is required, I point you to Legal Aid Alberta or community clinics.
Authorized Representative?
If you appoint an AHRC Authorized Representative, that person can speak to the Commission for you. I don’t take that role. You remain the point of contact and submit your own materials. If permitted by AHRC, I can attend as a quiet support person for confidence and note‑taking (not to speak on your behalf).
If your complaint goes to a Tribunal
We can discuss whether ongoing administrative support still makes sense (document organization, checklists, scheduling). I don’t provide legal advice or representation; for advice, please contact a lawyer or Legal Aid Alberta.
